2009 GREAT VOLTIGEUR STAKES
Always a good pointer to the St Ledger and this years renewal is no different, a small but good line up and the Ledger winner could well be running in this.
ANALYSIS OF DECLARED RUNNERS

My Conclusion
Progressive stayer and in the hands of the master Trainer Henry Cecil could really be a force to be reckoned with, is a touch quirky but Eddie Ahern gets on well with him, stamina is no issue at all.

My Conclusion
Italian Derby winner who ran well in Group 1 company last time out, certainly has place claims at least. Stamina no issue-stays further.

Race Record(Wins)
1 x Group 3
Total Prize Money (to date)
£45,250
My Conclusion
Has a Group 3 to his name but perhaps that was lucky as they went hard up front that day and he came from off the pace, I say lucky as form since and before that sole win has been poor. Stamina for me is an issue on breeding for this Colt and cannot see him being in the places.

Race Record(Wins)
1 x Listed Victory
Total Prize Money (to date)
£107,235
My Conclusion
Ran a good race at Newmarket when second to Doctor Freemantle and bettered than when 4th in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes but I think he's overated but on the plus side will stay well.
Alwaary runs in the colours of Hamdan Al Maktoum

Race Record(Wins)
1 x Group 3
Total Prize Money (to date)
£48,790
My Conclusion
Another Progessive Newmarket Stayer also in the Great hands of Sir Michael Stoute but perhaps not so far achieved as much as Father Time on the track, does get weight of that individual and is still unexposed and rates a supreme danger to all. Stamina should be ok but not guaranteed on dams side.

My Conclusion
Last years Royal Lodge winner and Racing Post trophy runner up, taken a while to come to form this year but won the Rose of Lancaster last time out beating the elders, this is a massive step up in trip though and im not so sure it will suit, as such don't really fancy his chances.

Race Record(Wins)
1 x Maiden Victory
Total Prize Money (to date)
£120,989
My Conclusion
Good career earnings so far for a colt that has only a maiden win to his name, Good 8th in the 2000 Guineas and again 4th in the Dante, but I just thik will have to much on his plate in this race, Stamina on breeding is a major issue.
Monitor Closely runs in the colours of Lawrie Inman
Final Conclusion
Very competitive race but I have been a admirer of Father Time all season and truely believe there is alot more to come and while Harbinger is a real danger im tipping Father Time to come out on top.
